Dear Cape Fear Warrior Family,

Below is Cape Fear Youth Hockey Association's (CFYHA) updated COVID Policy for the 2021-2022 season.  As a USA Hockey sanctioned association, we abide by the rules and guidelines of USA Hockey, as well as the Carolina Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA).  CAHA's COVID guidance for this year is to follow all CDC, state/local laws and regulations.  We must also follow Fort Bragg's policies when at Cleland Ice Rink.  CFYHA will not impose any additional restrictions on these policies and regulations.

*CFYHA will follow CDC, NC Health Department, and Fort Bragg COVID-19 guidelines.

*All players, coaches, volunteers, and spectators inside the rink will adhere to the local county and Fort Bragg mask mandate of wearing a mask inside any building, including those located on Fort Bragg.  As per the current Fort Bragg policy, this includes both on and off the ice. When CFYHA are guests at other facilities we will adhere to their state and local laws and regulations.

*If a player, coach, or other volunteer associated with CFYHA tests positive for COVID-19 or has symptoms consistent with COVID-19 we ask that they follow CDC guidelines and self-isolate for 10-14 days. As with any illness, they should not return to team-sanctioned events until they are symptom-free.

*Affected individuals must notify a CFYHA representative, such as a coach or board member, immediately. Upon CFYHA being notified of such an incident, a representative will inform those who had possible contact with the aforementioned individual, while maintaining confidentiality as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other applicable laws and regulations.

*Please refer to the CDC website for the latest on recognizing COVID-19 symptoms and guidelines for quarantine vs self-isolation.

Just a reminder to all members: While we may not agree with the mandates set out, it is imperative that we follow them in order to not be shut down.  Again, Cape Fear is not imposing any additional mandates that are not already in place.  Should CAHA, Fort Bragg, and/or other state/local policies change, we will update in accordance with them. We want to have a full season of hockey while ensuring everyone's health and safety.
